This policy describes how the personal data of users who register online for the “MEETING INTERNAZIONALE MASTER CITTA’ DI BELLINZONA” competition is collected, used and protected.

2. What data we collect and the nature of the provision
Through the online registration form, we collect only the data necessary for the management of the competition:
Personal details (First name, Surname, Date of birth, Nationality, Gender).
Contact details (Email address).
Sports details (Disciplines chosen, federal membership number for the Swiss Championship, if applicable).
Images and video footage (taken during the event).
Nature of data provision: The provision of personal, sporting and contact details is mandatory in order to complete race registration. Any refusal to provide such data will make it impossible to participate in the event. Consent to join the mailing list or to the use of images is, however, optional.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing
The data provided will be used for the following purposes:
Management of registration and participation in the race: Inclusion in the start lists, compilation of results and service communications (e.g. race cancellation). Legal basis: performance of a contract (registration for the event).
Mailing list and future communications: Only with the user’s explicit consent (via a specific tick box) may the email address be added to a mailing list for the Organisation’s internal use to send updates or invitations regarding future editions of the race or similar events. The data will not be disclosed to third parties. Legal basis: consent of the data subject.
Event promotion (Photos and Videos): Publication of multimedia materials on the Organiser’s official channels, ensuring full respect for the athlete’s personal dignity and decorum. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Data Controller and consent given via the Terms and Conditions.
Legal obligations: To fulfil any administrative or accounting obligations.
4. To whom is the data disclosed?
Personal data will not be sold or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes. It may be shared exclusively with:
Entities responsible for timekeeping and compiling rankings.
Relevant sports federations (exclusively for the validation of membership cards linked to the Swiss Championship).
Competent authorities, where required by law.
5. Place of Data Processing and Storage
Data collected via the website is stored and processed in Switzerland, at the facilities of the provider Infomaniak Network SA, which guarantees high standards of security and compliance with the FADP and the GDPR. The data will be retained for the time strictly necessary to manage the event, maintain the historical archive of rankings and fulfil legal obligations regarding document retention.
6. Data Security
The Data Controller implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access or disclosure. Data is transmitted from the user’s browser to the server in encrypted form via the SSL/HTTPS security protocol.
7. Use of Cookies
This website uses only technical cookies, which are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the platform and for completing the registration form. No third-party profiling or advertising tracking cookies are used. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect the functioning of the form.
8. Your Rights
At any time, you have the right to:
Request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data (except for data required for historical records of rankings or to comply with legal obligations).
Withdraw consent to the mailing list at any time via the unsubscribe link in the emails or by contacting the Organiser.
Object to the publication of a specific photo or video in which they appear.
Right to lodge a complaint: Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland, the relevant authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Updates to this Privacy Policy
The Data Controller reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time to bring it into line with new legal provisions.
