1. Acceptance of the Rules
Online registration for the athletics competition known as the ‘BELLINZONA INTERNATIONAL MASTERS MEETING’ implies unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, as well as the official competition rules, in their entirety.
2. Eligibility Requirements
Participation in the competition is subject to the following requirements:
Age: The event is open exclusively to adult athletes who have reached the age of 30 by the day of the competition.
International Status and Certificates: The competition is international in nature and is open to all athletes who meet the age requirement. No medical certificate is required for participation. By registering, the athlete bindingly self-certifies that they are in a physical condition suitable for competing.
Swiss Championship (Specific Category): Should the athlete wish to participate specifically in the ranking valid for the Swiss Championship (which takes place within the main competition), they must hold a valid membership recognised by the relevant sports federation. The Organiser reserves the right to verify the validity of the membership.
3. Registration and Payment Procedures
Registration for the race must be completed online via the website by filling in all the mandatory sections of the registration form.
Registration deadline: Online registration will close without exception on Thursday 3 September. After this date, it will no longer be possible to submit a registration request via the website.
Registration fees: The cost of registration for the first discipline is 15 CHF (or 15 EUR). For each additional discipline in which the athlete wishes to register, there is an additional fee of 12 CHF (or 12 EUR).
Payment method: No advance online payment is required. The total fee must be paid exclusively on site on the day of the competition, at the reception/bib collection area.
Accepted currencies: Payments are accepted exclusively in Swiss Francs (CHF) and Euros (EUR).
4. Cancellation or Changes to the Event
In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, extreme weather conditions, or decisions by the relevant authorities, the Organiser undertakes to notify registered athletes promptly via the email address provided during registration.
As payment is made on-site on the day of the race, no refunds or compensation of any kind will be provided to participants in the event of cancellation.
5. Disclaimer
Given that a medical certificate is not required, the registered athlete assumes full and complete responsibility for their own state of health. The Organiser accepts no civil or criminal liability for injuries, illness, or damage to persons or property (including the loss or theft of personal belongings) that may occur before, during, or after the sporting event.
6. Image Rights
By registering, the athlete expressly authorises the Organiser (and its partners/sponsors), free of charge, to capture and use photographs, images and video footage depicting them during the event.
The Organiser is authorised to publish such material on its website, official social media channels and other online and offline promotional materials. The Organiser undertakes to ensure that the use of such images takes place in contexts strictly related to the promotion of sport and in such a way as not to undermine, under any circumstances, the dignity, decorum and personal reputation of the individual.
7. Processing of Personal Data
